The Second Year: Portfolios

The portfolio curriculum of the Penn State Smeal College of Business MBA program is outlined, along with descriptions of each portfolio.

The Second Year: Portfolios

During your second year, you’ll customize your learning through our six course portfolios – groups of courses concentrating on specific areas of business. Whether you combine one primary portfolio with individual courses from the others, select two complementary portfolios to study in depth, or mix in a few courses from outside the business school, you have the ability at Smeal to tailor the second-year curriculum to your specific needs and goals.

The portfolio curriculum during the second year is taught in the same “7-1-7” modular format as the first year: one seven-week module, followed by an immersion experience, and then a second seven-week module.
