Community

The One-Year MAcc Program is designed to encourage collaboration not only with your peers, but also with faculty who are experts in the field. Beyond the classroom, opportunities to connect with the Smeal alumni network increase your career potential.

The One-Year MAcc Program is designed to encourage collaboration not only with your peers, but also with faculty who are experts in the field. Beyond the classroom, opportunities to connect with the Smeal alumni network increase your career potential.

Student-Faculty Interaction

Because the program is small and selective, you benefit from direct faculty interaction. Program faculty and your classmates are with you during resume reviews, mock interviews, and case competitions, as well as in class.

A Vast Alumni Network

One-Year MAcc Program students benefit from joining the Penn State and Smeal alumni networks. With more than 74,000 Smeal alumni and more than 500,000 Penn State alumni around the globe, the opportunities to connect are endless.

In addition to career fairs and networking events, the Accounting Department also works with the Accounting Advisory Board to promote accounting education at Penn State. The board is comprised of accounting professionals from professional practice, senior corporate management, regulatory bodies, and higher education.
