The One-Year MAcc Program is designed to encourage collaboration not only with your peers, but also with faculty who are experts in the field. Beyond the classroom, opportunities to connect with the Smeal alumni network increase your career potential.

The One-Year MAcc Program is designed to encourage collaboration not only with your peers, but also with faculty who are experts in the field. Beyond the classroom, opportunities to connect with the Smeal alumni network increase your career potential.

Student-Faculty Interaction

Because the program is small and selective, you benefit from direct faculty interaction. From structuring course work to best prepare you for the CPA Exam, to resume reviews and mock interviews, to ensuring you have exposure to the top firms, program faculty and your classmates are with you at every step.

A Vast Alumni Network

As a student in the One-Year MAcc Program, one of the most significant benefits is becoming part of the Penn State and Smeal alumni network. With more than 74,000 Smeal alumni around the globe, the opportunities to connect are endless.

In addition to career fairs and networking events, the Accounting Department also works with the Accounting Advisory Board to promote accounting education at Penn State in addition to furthering the development and practice of accounting in all its applications. The board is comprised of accounting, business, government, and education professionals.
