Jeneanne M. Rae was recognized by BusinessWeek as “one of the Magnificent Seven gurus of innovation” and “the doyenne of service innovation.” The seven-year IDEO veteran and Harvard MBA has formed a new firm, Peer Insight, focused exclusively on service innovation, and will share the dramatic conclusions of the firm’s two-year study of service innovation. During 2004-06, Peer Insight interviewed over 500 senior service innovators from nearly fifty Fortune 500 companies.

Attendees will learn:

  • Why Six Sigma is over, and what is replacing it: a revolution in customer experience design and innovation
  • How new product development methods fail to meet the challenge of inventing new services
  • Proven protocols for developing high-impact innovation in mature organizations
  • How to implement the three keys to creating a sustainable service innovation engine: passion, permission, and protocols

Jeneanne Rae is a nationally-renowned thought leader on innovation management and design strategy. She has worked with dozens of leading companies to establish innovation programs and organizational development strategies that have resulted in millions of dollars of new revenue streams and profitable growth. Jeneanne possesses a unique ability to help business leaders grasp a philosophical understanding of how to drive innovation and foster design-based thinking.

Ever the teacher, Jeneanne shares her wisdom with young business disciples at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where she is an adjunct professor of marketing in the MBA Program. Her course on New Product and Service Development is one of the few MBA classes in the country that teaches design methods and thinking to business students.
