ISBM New Offering Realization Consortium

Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

An opportunity for anyone looking to build a stronger, more successful new offering development process for their firm!

Feeding the Beast -Working at the Front End of B-to-B Innovation

If you manage/own/or participate in the process by which new offerings are created at your firm—or influence that process in some way—or are looking to make it better—this meeting is for you!

Our consortium is a community of learning and practice for professionals charged with or connected directly to the process of new offering realization for their organization.

    Format:

A highly interactive, discussion-based meeting with a lot of give and take; sharing and learning.

We begin with a Networking Reception on July 22, 2008 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the hotel.

During the day Wednesday, we'll be hearing from thought leaders in interactive discussion on the science and art of capturing, understanding and translating customer needs as a driver of innovation. How do you deepen the customer relationship? How do you translate the knowledge captured into viable offerings? We'll be looking at a range of applications, approaches, pluses, pitfalls, and working examples.

We'll be learning from practitioner experience -- what's worked and what hasn't in getting and qualifying ideas at the front end of innovation in a B2B Company.

Interactive discussion will be encouraged --and beyond that -- participants will be asked to note questions, problems in need of a solution/better solution on post-it notes during the interactive presentations. These will be collected and categorized and used to frame working roundtable discussions in the afternoon.

    Hear from thought leaders including:

    • Dr. Abbie Griffin, University of Utah—inventor of the Voice of the Customer concept and process, spearheading the leading edge of research in this area.
    • Dr. Venky Shankar, Professor of Marketing and Coleman Chair in Marketing, Texas A&M
    • Mr. Doug LaPlante, Chief Innovation Officer & VP, Strategy, New Pig Corporation
    • Mr. Glenn Anderson, Director, Phlebology NPD, BSN medical
