This page describes ISBM's working paper support funding.

Working Paper Support Funding

Description

The mission of the ISBM is to:

  • help advance the theory and practice of business marketing, and to
  • disseminate key research findings within both the academic and practice communities.

To support the latter goal, we have developed a Working Paper Support Funding Policy . If you have completed some research that is in working paper form, ISBM will provide you a grant of $750 (to be used to further your research or the dissemination of this work through meeting attendance and the like) if we accept it into our working series.

What to Do

Send an electronic version of your working paper, and the ISBM Working Paper Submission Letter (available from our Web site or by request) to the ISBM by e-mail attachment to LNicolini@psu.edu. Preferred format is Microsoft Word. Please see the ISBM Working Paper Principles and Guidelines.

Upon receiving your letter and working paper, the ISBM will begin a review process, with at least two reviewers, to evaluate the paper for:

  • Fit with the ISBM's research priorities
  • Quality of research execution
  • Quality of exposition
  • Interest of topics and findings to the ISBM community

The ISBM Research Director will send you a notice of acceptance or rejection, normally within two weeks of receipt of the paper.

Copyright Issues

In line with the general copyright policies of most journals, when a paper is published, the author should notify the ISBM as well as provide contact information (email address or URL) to access the published form of the paper.

Upon such notice, the ISBM will replace the working paper on its website but retain the title, abstract and keywords and provide the link that the author has provided. Note that at this time, the ISBM Publications Reward Program will provide additional compensation for the researcher.
