The Management and Organization Department is a group of teachers and researchers shaping management knowledge and practice for the twenty-first century.

To create a successful business in today's global economy, leaders and managers must be equipped to tackle many difficult challenges. Those challenges include managing in a complex, dynamic environment of technological and social change, workforce diversity, and global competition.

In response to such challenges, leaders are developing new organizational designs, including self-managing teams and multi-firm collaborative networks. They have developed creative ways of thinking about a firm's strategies and management processes, including new methods of performance management, talent management, entrepreneurship, and ethical leadership. The faculty of the Department of Management and Organization is at the leading edge of research and practices regarding these and other management topics.
