Members

William Frezza

Bill joined Adams Capital Management in 1997 as a general partner. He is responsible for identifying, leading and managing investments in his area of expertise. Prior to his work at Adams Capital, Bill was founder and president of Wireless Computing Associates, providing technology strategy and consulting services to major vendors in the telecommunications industry. He served as the director of Marketing and Business Development for Ericsson, Inc.'s wireless data division and has extensive engineering and product management experience from General Instrument Corp. and Bell Laboratories. Bill has also been involved in several start-up ventures, holds seven patents, and was a columnist for Internet Week.

Frezza received an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, B.S. degree in Biology, and B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has current board seats at AmberWave Systems Corporation, InfoLibria, Inc., and VBrick Systems, Inc.

Maurice Kuritz

Maurice joined Lucent's Global Sales Operation team in June, 2002, as director of Global Pricing. In his new post, he brings 18 years of top corporate and entrepreneurial expertise. From 2001 to the present, Maurice was the director of the Optical Networking Group's (ONG) Market Operations where he was responsible for creating and implementing ONG's first Global Price Book. Prior to that assignment, he spent 4 years as the director of Global Business Operations for ONG. This entailed working daily with the president and chief operating officer of ONG to run the business unit.

Prior to 1997, Maurice spent thirteen years at Lucent Technologies, Inc. and its antecedent, AT&T Network Systems. During his tenure, he held positions as director of Business Management and Marketing for Lucent's first software venture, business manager for the Global Commercial Markets sales team, CFO for EMEA Export Sales (resident in The Netherlands), and manufacturing production planning specialist at the Allentown Microelectronics factory. Prior to joining AT&T in 1984, Maurice spent 2 years pursuing a career in professional Baseball. During that time, he played in semi-professional baseball leagues.

Maurice received an MBA degree in Marketing and Management Science from Wilkes University and a BSBA degree in Accounting from Shippensburg University. Additionally, Maurice has a working knowledge of Dutch, Italian, and German languages. Maurice is also a Lucent representative for interviewing and selecting participants for Lucent's leadership development program (LLF).

Jim Plonka

Jim received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Penn State in 1970, provides expertise at Dow Chemical USA in the areas of business development, international business operations, multinational joint ventures, and venture capital/private equity transactions.

He began his career at Dow as a research scientist in 1970 and has held many research and management positions with the company and its subsidiaries in the United States and Japan. Under his direction, the Advanced Materials Unit, which includes electronic components, venture capital, and ceramic materials, was established as a global business at Dow. In 1998, Plonka was honored with the Eberly College of Science Outstanding Science Alumni Award. He lives in Midland, Michigan.

John M. Arnold

John is the chairman and chief operating officer of Petroleum Products Corporation (PPC) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Grove City College in 1985 and his MBA from Penn State in 1987, Arnold joined the family business founded by his great grandfather. Arnold became chairman of the firm in 1994.

PPC is involved in the buying, selling, storage and transportation of oil products. Arnold and his wife, Kara, a 1987 graduate of Penn State with a major in Communications, are active in the Harrisburg community. Arnold is a member of the Smeal College Board of Visitors.
