Smeal Alumni Relations

The Smeal family has over 60,000+ alumni. Through the Alumni Relations Office, Smeal seeks to connect our alumni with each other and current students, faculty, and staff through a variety of initiatives, including on-campus and off-campus events. Some of our key events include Meet the Dean, Executive Insights, and lectures.

Smeal's Senior Send-Off

On the morning of Commencement, Sunday, May 18, 2008, the atrium of the Business Building was bustling with approximately 2,000 graduates and their families. Smeal's Senior Send-Off featured the Andrew Jackson Jazz Band, remarks by Dean Jim Thomas, and the showing of Tribute to the Class of 2008, a student-produced video showcasing memories from Smeal and Penn State. Power Networking Night in Boston

On May 20, John Kostrubanic, '85 hosted Smeal alumni in the Boston area at McCarter & English LLP. Like previous alumni receptions, the event allowed for networking with fellow alumni and the opportunity to interact with Dean Thomas. The event also allowed attendees to dive into the topics on the minds of today's business professionals. In a round-robin format, attendees were able to discuss three hot topics: Smeal as a Top Five Public Business School, Networking for Business Development, and Today's Economy.
