Business Building—Building a Community

The Smeal College's 210,000 square foot building is the largest academic facility at Penn State. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern—dean of the Yale School of Architecture—it is a signature building that welcomes all Penn State visitors to the eastern gateway of campus.

A Home for Smeal Students

This building is the "home away from home" for all of our students, and we have designed and built it with their comfort in mind. Amenities for our students include:

Designed for Research

This building is designed to foster lifelong connections and reinforce the strength of the Smeal community. All faculty departments, research centers, program offices, advisers, and staff are co-located. Faculty and staff, students, alumni and business visitors come together in the expansive spaces of the atrium's, open stairwells, lounges, café, and outdoor plaza.
