Natalie M. Scala is an assistant professor in the Department of e-Business and Technology Management at Towson University.  Her research interests broadly include spare parts management, energy utilities, decision and risk modeling, and military applications.  Her work has appeared in IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and Military Operations Research. Her professional experience includes Innovative Decisions, Inc., the United States Department of Defense, RAND Corporation, and FirstEnergy Corporation.

As a member of INFORMS, Scala currently serves as a board member to the Maryland Chapter. She is also a member of IIE and MORS.

Scala received her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
