Director of Research, Supply Chain Council
Matt Davis currently is an affiliated faculty member at Penn State's Center for Supply Chain Research and a director of research for the Supply Chain Council. He was previously a Research Director at Gartner where he was lead analyst for supply chain strategy, customer centricity and supply chain segmentation. Matt has over 75 publications with more than 15 first authorships on the topic of supply chain segmentation.
Prior to joining Gartner, Matt spent nine years in different rotations across Dell’s supply chain organization. This experience included strategy roles in supply chain design, demand management, fulfillment and customer service. Matt has served as a member of the board of directors for the Supply Chain Council since 2007. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a Lean Change Agent. He has a B.S. in Business Logistics from Penn State and an MBA from the University of Texas.
