Kim Armor

In her role, Armor oversees the financial operations of the company and seeks out new business opportunities.

“Kim has 15 years of finance and operational experience and will provide exceptional financial and strategic oversight to the network,” said Gavin Harvey, president of VERSUS. “This experience will be instrumental as OLN transitions to VERSUS and as we continue to optimize our core TV businesses and pursuits in new markets and digital media.”

Immediately prior to joining VERSUS, Armor was the senior vice president, finance and planning operations for ESPN, Inc., owned by The Walt Disney Company. She was a major contributor across the business spectrum, including the networks, the dotcom, the magazine, mobile and more. In that role, Armor was responsible for finance and strategy for advertising sales, affiliate revenue, programming, new media, international and all subsidiary businesses.

Armor has extensive experience with launching and growing business, including ESPN.com and Mobile EXPN and the transformation of advertising sales into a multimedia sales organization. She oversaw the analysis of all sports rights acquisitions including NFL, NASCAR and MLB; affiliate fee negotiations and new business opportunities. She led the development of all budgets, forecasts and long-terms plans for ESPN. A skilled leader, she rebuilt and led a 60 person finance department to include strategy, business development support and team-oriented operational department support.

Armor first joined ESPN in 1998 as director of finance for ESPN.com. in 2002 she began overseeing the finances for ESPN The Magazine. She had been part of the Walt Disney Company since January 1993, serving as director of finance, ABC TV Network Production Division. Previously, she served as an internal audit supervisor, ABC corporate where she oversaw the financial and operational audits for ABC operations. Before joining she worked as senior auditor for KPMG Peat Marwick in Short Hills, New Jersey, from 1990 to 1993.

Armor received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State University and is currently attending NYU Stern School of Business for her M.B.A.
