Jeff is currently Major League Baseball brand manager for the Upper Deck Company. In his role, he oversees all business management of 20 MLB licensed trading card products. His position also requires him to maintain an active role in the procurement of authentic game-used equipment and securing signature agreements with top baseball starts. Before assuming baseball responsibilities, Schmal served as NBA brand manager working with Upper Deck spokesmen LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

Schmal has had the opportunity to assume a variety of roles in the sports industry throughout his career ranging from being the assistant director of marketing at the University of Notre Dame to internships with the Oakland A’s, University of Oregon athletic department and what is now Octagon Sports.

Jeff received his B.S. in Sports Marketing from the University of Oregon in 2002 and his M.B.A from Penn State in 2005.

Jeff resides in Carlsbad, California.
