Penn State Marketing Association Career Fair

Date: Thursday, February 7, 2013
Time: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: Smeal College of Business, University Park, PA
Fee: $225 (please note: we can only process payment by check at this time)

Marketing Career Fair Registration includes:

  • Assistance to unload, setup and tear down displays
  • 6 ft. table and chairs
  • Breakfast and lunch
  • Interview space on February 8th (must be requested in advance via online registration form; first come, first serve basis with limited availability; NOTE: PSMA members are unable to grant interview space; all requests will be processed through the Career & Corporate Connections office )

 

Schedule:

10:00AM – 10:15 AM (Business Building Atrium)
Arrival and set-up of displays, exhibits/posters
Assistance will be provided by PSMA Associates

10:15 AM – 10:45 AM (Room 011, Business Building)
Come enjoy a light breakfast, learn more about opportunities with PSMA and meet some of our top members

10:45 AM – 11:00 AM
Final Career Fair set-up of displays, exhibits/posters

11:00AM – 4:00 PM
Open floor for interaction with students.  Drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the afternoon including boxed lunches. Please inform us if you have any special dietary restrictions.

* Note: Boxed lunches will be available starting at 12:30 PM in room 011 (down the stairs in the Business Building Atrium)

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Tear down and removal of displays
Assistance will be provided by PSMA Associates

If you would like to send your materials prior to the event, please send them to:

*Please make sure your boxes are labeled with your company name and include the number of boxes sent (i.e. “1 of 3”). It is also important that you let us know you have sent your materials, so we can verify we received them. Please email Marissa Presser at mjp5326@psu.edu to verify that your materials have been received. Please do not send them prior to February 1, 2013. Your materials will be ready for you in the Business Building Atrium the day of the event.

For Return Shipment: Please bring your own shipping labels. We will arrange for the pickup, but you are responsible for preparing and packing the boxes.

Event Parking:

You may park at the parking garage (East Deck) adjacent to the Business Building. There is a $1.00 hourly rate. We do not validate tickets. Please find a map at the link below:

Accommodations and Travel:

We recommend the following three (3) hotels for your stay:

If you are flying, the local airport is called the “University Park Airport,” also referred to as the State College Airport. The airport code is SCE. US airways, United, Delta, and Northwest fly into State College. Another option is the fly into the Harrisburg airport, code MDT. Harrisburg is a two (2) hour drive from State College.

What is the Penn State Marketing Association (PSMA)?

The Penn State Marketing Association is one of the largest student-run organizations at Penn State with over 200 members and one of the top American Marketing Association collegiate chapters in the nation. PSMA provides its associates with information on marketing and career issues and offers an opportunity to gain practical management and marketing experience in several different divisions of marketing. Our 2012 divisions are sales, market research, advertising, entertainment, retail, sports, philanthropy, and THON.
