Info Sessions

Information Sessions and On-Campus Interviewing Tips

Holding a company information session is a great way for our actuarial students to learn more about your company. Below are some tips to successfully navigate Penn State and effectively connect with Actuarial students

Information Sessions for Actuarial Students:

  1. Request space by emailing Prathap Rajaraman, Corporate Liaison of the Actuarial Science Club. Include the following in your request:
    - Date (please indicate your top 2 choices)
    - Start Time and End Time
    - Need for audio or visual equipment
  2. Schedule info sessions before your first round interviews
    - Schedule early due to a high volume of requests for space
    - Make sure your position is posted in a PSU system before your information session
  3. Market your Information Session
    - Send us a logo or a flyer advertising your event
    - We will send info out through appropriate listservs
    - Use former interns who are back on campus to help promote
  4. Food and Beverages are a great way to attract students
    - University rules require food in the hallway outside the classroom, not in the classroom
    - The student representative will alert you to the location and rules of the room reserved
    - Campus Catering: 814-865-0975 or Papa John’s (814-234-7272) are familiar with campus and Penn State's policies
