Meet the Alumni Relations Team
Jennifer Eury, Director of Alumni Relations
Jennifer joined the Smeal College of Business, as the director of alumni relations in June 2008. She is responsible for engaging the Smeal College of Business alumni community, now more than 74,000 members strong. She leads alumni engagement for the college, including the Smeal Alumni Society Board and Hammond Society, several regional alumni chapters, various professional development programs for students, the college’s annual alumni awards program, and alumni career services.
Jennifer started her career at Penn State in 2005. Since joining the University, she has worked for the Undergraduate Admissions Office as an admissions officer and writer for the marketing and recruitment team, and for the Department of Geography as the public relations coordinator.
She currently serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the Association of Business Schools Alumni Professionals; a member of the Performance Management Leadership Steering Committee for the Office of Human Resources at Penn State; a member of the Advisory Board for the Athletic Director’s Leadership Institute at Penn State; and a consulting editor for Higher Education in Review, an independent, refereed journal published by graduate students in the Higher Education program at Penn State.
She received her master's degree in higher education and her bachelor's degree in advertising-public relations, both from Penn State. Jennifer is a Ph.D. candidate studying higher education, with a minor in management and organization at Penn State. Her current research interests include how alumni identify with an organization after they’ve left, and how alumni respond when the organization undergoes a scandal.
She and her husband Clint (’05) reside in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania with their rescue dog.
Jennifer Crispell, Special Events Assistant
Jennifer joined the Smeal College of Business, as special events assistant for the Alumni Relations Office in June 2010. She is responsible for planning and executing events that support development and alumni relations, the Dean’s Office, as well as several other departments in the college. Jennifer helps to plan visits for alumni who come to campus to receive college and University awards or who are on campus for other special visits. In addition, she helps manage alumni engagement opportunities, including programs and events which involve alumni-student interaction.
Prior to joining Penn State and Smeal, Jennifer was the Director of Promotions and Community Relations for the State College Spikes.
Jennifer is co-chair of Smeal’s United Way Campaign, and enjoys volunteering for other community charities such as the Special Olympics of Centre County and Coaches vs. Cancer. She also coaches young gymnasts at a local gymnastics center.
Jennifer received her bachelor's degree in advertising-public relations from Penn State in 2006, where she was a member of the women’s gymnastics team.
She and her husband Loren (’00) reside in State College, Pennsylvania with their son Nathan.
Doris Confer, College Relations Assistant
Doris joined the Alumni Relations team, as the college relations assistant in May 2009. She is responsible for administrative support to the Director of Alumni Relations and the Special Events Assistant. In her current role, she assists with alumni requests, various events, and serves as a liaison to the Smeal Alumni Society Board’s executive committee.
Prior to joining the Alumni Relations team, she was the lead staff support for the Enterprise Informatics and Integration Center at Penn State’s College of Information Sciences and Technology. Before that, she was a 15-year member of Corporate Relations for the Smeal College of Business. She started her career at Penn State in the Undergraduate Program Office for the Smeal College of Business in 1986.
Doris serves as an affiliate member with the Commission for Women, and volunteers for many charitable organizations including Relay for Life.
She and her husband Carl reside in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania with their two dogs.
Robin Stevens, Director of Alumni Career Services
Robin joined the Alumni Relations team, as director of alumni career services in October 2011. She is responsible for creating a program to specifically serve the career needs of business graduates. She offers services in the areas of career development, resume critiques and interview preparation, career assessments, phone and in-person appointments, networking assistance, and career workshops and seminars via personal presentation and webinar. Additionally, she manages SmealConnect, the college’s exclusive online destination for alumni job opportunities.
Robin has been an integral member of the Smeal community since 1995. She has significantly enhanced the corporate relationships of the college and built the program that was ranked No. 1 among all undergraduate business programs two years in a row, according to recruiters surveyed by Bloomberg Businessweek. In addition, she played an instrumental role in creating one of the country’s largest career fairs, developing the college’s first career planning and strategies class, managing 35 student organizations, and creating a Corporate Associate Program with more than 30 employers. Furthermore, she and Dr. J. Randall Woolridge, created Wall Street Boot Camp, a training program to prepare students who aspire to have careers in the highly competitive field of financial services.
Prior to joining Smeal, Robin enjoyed 16 years as the administrator of a non-profit organization providing early childhood education and childcare to families in central Pennsylvania. Before that, she spent time as a conference coordinator in Continuing and Distance Education at Penn State and as an event manager for a sports marketing firm.
Robin is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers and the Alumni Career Services Network. She serves her community by volunteering for local non-profit organizations including PAWS, the Youth Services Bureau, and the Mount Nittany Medical Center Golf Tournament.
Robin, a lifelong resident of the State College area and a graduate of Penn State, resides in State College with her husband Fred and their dog and three cats.
Cindi Satterfield, Administrative Assistant, Alumni Career Services
Cindi joined the Alumni Relations team as administrative assistant for Alumni Career Services in October 2011. She is responsible for coordinating Smeal’s Alumni LinkedIn group, SmealConnect, and Candid Career, organizing life-long learning webinars, and supporting the Director of Smeal’s Alumni Career Services and other program initiatives. She also supports Wall Street Boot Camp and the Penn State Epsilon Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Prior to this role, Cindi was a member of Smeal’s Career and Corporate Connections office and Smeal’s Undergraduate Education office, where she was responsible for supporting various initiatives including the Sapphire Leadership Program, the Smeal Case competition, and the Smeal students also involved with the Schreyer Honors College.
Before joining Penn State, Cindi had several years of corporate work experience. She helped to start a computer company, with seven other individuals. Eventually, the company grew to more than 100 employees, with offices in Europe.
Cindi and her husband Ned, a Penn State alumnus, reside in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania with their two dogs, Blitz and Zara. They have two children, both Penn State alumni, Aslynn (a former Penn State gymnast) and Brint.
