Honorary Alumni Award
The Honorary Alumni Award recognizes people who are not graduates of The Pennsylvania State University, but who have made significant contributions toward its welfare, reputation, or prestige.
Linda Wolf retired from Leo Burnett Worldwide as chairman and chief executive officer, responsible for the agency's global operations spanning 80+ countries and more than 200 units. Since assuming the helm in January 2001, Ms. Wolf saw Burnett through numerous regional new business wins including China Telecom, Holiday Inn, Sprint and Visa International/Latin America, and expended assignments with existing clients such as Kellogg's, Hallmark, Nintendo, Disney, and Proctor & Gamble. Previously, as CEO of Leo Burnett USA, Ms. Wolf played an integral part in the most aggressive growth and diversification drive in Burnett's history, including strategic moves into healthcare, technology, urban marketing, and Hispanic marketing.
Linda currently sits on the boards of Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History, The Off The Street Club and the Economic Club of Chicago. She is a member of the Smeal College Board of Visitors, University of Illinois Advisory Board, The Chicago Network and The Committee of 200. Linda was also named the Women's Advertising Club of Chicago's 2000 "Advertising Woman of the Year."
