The mission of the Smeal Alumni Society Board is to enhance the value and reputation of Smeal by cultivating a community of active, engaged alumni; building and maintaining forums for student and alumni interaction; and providing a meaningful connection between the college and alumni.
Task Forces
Alumni Engagement: assists Smeal's Alumni Relations office with identifying new volunteer opportunities and programs, beyond the two-day Alumni Society Board meeting.
Awards Program: recognizes Smeal students and alumni for their exceptional service to the Smeal College of Business and Penn State.
Business and Community Relationships: oversees and provides support to new and existing Affilitate Program Groups (APGs), and explores, identifies, and develops programs and initiatives for new alumni volunteers.
Mentoring: builds and maintains and active forum for student and alumni interaction.
Recruitment: helps attract and retain the best 'best and brightest' students in Smeal.
Strategic Plan: reviews, critiques, and provides guidance to the dean on Smeal's strategic plan.
