Accounting Interviews
Career Services (CSC) arranges interviews for accounting majors seeking permanent positions. Students are required to register to use the On-Campus Interviewing System (OCI), Nittany Lion Career Network for all on-campus interviews. Attendance at an on-campus interviewing orientation session is mandatory and held in 103 Bank of America Career Services Center.

PLEASE NOTE: Sessions run approximately 30 minutes. Seating capacity is limited for each of the sessions so please arrive early. Please bring your student ID card with you. Please attend one of the orientation sessions to pick up the 2009-2010 Career Guide, and obtain more information about how to register to participate in on-campus recruiting. Please note if you cannot attend one of the OCI orientations please visit the OCI website to view the Angel OCI orientation and register for an account with Nittany Lion Recruiting (please be sure to add the OCI option when requesting an account in order to participate in interviews).

Application deadlines and interview sign-up dates for interviews will vary based on interview date. That information will be noted in Nittany Lion Career Network once you have registered for access to on-campus interviewing.
Interviews will happen in several ways:
- On-Campus Interviews: Recruiters come to campus and interview students in person at a designated Penn State location. Most interviews for Smeal students will occur here in the Business Building interview rooms (Suite 114) or on the second floor of the Bank of America Career Services Center. These interviews are set up entirely by the Career and Corporate Connections office. Students will be notified via their PSU email account if preselected for an on-campus interview.
- Phone Interviews: Recruiters call students and conduct interviews on the phone when they cannot come to campus. The recruiter will establish a convenient time to call back for an interview. Don’t be surprised, though, if you get a "cold call” from a company to conduct an interview. In fact, it’s a good idea to assume that any call from a company is an interview.
- Worksite Interviews: Interviews are often conducted at the company and are usually initiated by the company via e-mail or phone. The employer will invite you to their location and will conduct the interview there. Depending on the location, it may be a short interview, or it may be a full day interview. It may be your first interview with the firm or a second round interview. You may meet with one person or you may meet with multiple people.
