Facilities
The Smeal College of Business is based in the Business Building, a 210,000-square-foot facility positioned at the corner of Park Avenue and Shortlidge Road near the eastern gateway to Penn State’s University Park campus. The college’s executive education programs are held in the Executive Education Center and the Keller Conference Center. Both facilities are adjacent to the Nittany Lion Inn near the western edge of campus.
Business Building
Dedicated in 2005, the Business Building was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects. The facility features ample classroom space for the college’s more than 5,000 students, as well as a host of other amenities including wireless access and video-conferencing technologies, team study and recruiter interview rooms, an auditorium, and a restaurant—the Blue Chip Bistro. Along with being a popular impromptu meeting space, the centrally located four-story glass atrium also plays host to countless special events throughout the year.
Executive Education Center
The center is a private, modern facility reserved exclusively for use by Penn State Executive Programs participants. The facility features breakout rooms with Internet access, comfortable lounges, and a tiered, U-shaped lecture room that maximizes participant/faculty interaction.
