Lloyd G. (Buzz) Waterhouse

Lloyd “Buzz” Waterhouse is a 1973 graduate of Penn State. Mr. Waterhouse was recently president and chief executive officer of Harcourt Education. Prior to Harcourt, Buzz was the CEO and Chairperson of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company.  He is currently active on several public and non-public boards including Ascend Learning, Solar Winds (SWI), and the ITT Education (ESI) Board of Directors. He is also an active member of several venture capital groups.  Before joining Reynolds, Mr. Waterhouse spent 26 years at IBM Corporation. He has extensive experience in international business management, information technology, e-Business, and organizational change. Mr. Waterhouse was instrumental in securing a series of grants for Penn State from the IBM Corporation valued at over $4 million, and has been a consistent supporter of both Penn State Smeal and The Behrend Campus. Buzz was named a Penn State Alumni Fellow in 1997.
