Robert W. Moore, ’48, retired as president and chief executive officer of Financial Executives International, a professional organization for senior corporate financial executives.

In 2006, he was an inaugural inductee into the International Financial Executives Hall of Fame. He was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus, Alumni Fellow, and was awarded the Smeal Alumni Achievement Award and as an Outstanding Accounting Alumnus. He has served the University as chairman of the President’s Club, president of the Smeal Alumni Society, and vice president of the National Development Council. He serves on the Accounting Advisory Board for Smeal College. He and his wife, Helen, have funded the Robert W. and Helen L. Moore Graduate Fellowship in Business and the Robert W. and Helen L. Moore Faculty Fellowship in Business. They are also members of The Mount Nittany Society.

Mr. Moore received a bachelor of arts degree in commerce and finance from the College of Liberal Arts at Penn State in 1948.
