Jeffrey L. Leininger, ’67, retired as vice chairman of Mellon Financial Corporation after thirty-three years. He was responsible for Mellon’s Treasury Services Sector which included all of Mellon’s traditional commercial banking businesses as well as global case management business along with its global institutional sales organization.
He was a member of various corporate committees including finance, credit approval and employee benefits, among others. He was also a member of the board of directors of Mellon Ventures, Inc., Mellon’s small business investment company and the Mellon Financial Foundation. Mr. Leininger is currently a member of the board of directors of the Pittsburgh Symphony where he serves as Secretary/Treasurer and the advisory board of Family Guidance, Inc.
Mr. Leininger attended Bucknell’s Master of Business Administration Program, majoring in economics, The Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University, and received a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Penn State in 1967.
