LtGen Rick Kelly, ’70, is a Senior Fellow with Logistics Management Institute, a strategic consulting firm that serves the federal government. He is also a director with Cascade Designs, Inc., international outdoor equipment engineering and manufacturing company; and an executive partner with Torch Hill Investment Partners, a private equity company. He is a former director with Stanley, Inc. (NYSE), a publicly held information technology company recently sold to CGI Group, Inc. Rick is a member of the Corporate Directors Group where he holds an Advanced Professional Director Certification. He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Rick’s degrees include an MBA from Pepperdine University, a B.A. in economics and business administration from Chapman University, and a B.A. in history from Penn State University. He has completed several director and financial management programs at Harvard, Wharton, and other top business schools.
Rick’s final active duty assignment was Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics, Headquarters, U. S. Marine Corps. Previously, he was Vice Director for Logistics for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. During his 35-year career, Rick served in a wide range of logistics, supply chain, infrastructure, and leadership positions to include six commands and over eight years as a general officer.
Rick is a 2005 Penn State Distinguished Alumni and a 2003 inductee into the Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School Hall of Fame.
