Mitch Cohen, ’81, is the firm's Vice Chairman responsible for Strategy as well as the New York Metro Region. Mitch is also engaged in a variety of activities related to the US firm's involvement in PwC's global network
Mitch has been with PwC for 31 years, and has been a partner for the past 20 years. During this time he has served a number of Fortune 500 telecom and technology clients. He has also held a variety of industry leadership roles. He was the Technology, InfoComm and Entertainment (TICE) leader for Central and Eastern Europe and Russia and was based in Budapest from 1998-2001. He relocated to New York and in 2001 was appointed Global Leader of the Information/Communications industry practice. In 2005 he became the Global Leader for the TICE practice and served on the Global Leadership Team. Mitch then became the Strategy Leader for the US Assurance practice in 2008 and assumed his role as Vice Chairman and Strategy Leader in 2009.
Mitch graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in accounting. He continues to be actively involved at Penn State and serves on the Advisory Board for the Smeal College of Business. He also serves on the Advisory Board of DonorsChoose. Mitch and his wife Carri live in Manhattan, as do their children.
