Peter J. Cocoziello, ’73, Peter Cocoziello is the President and CEO of Advance Realty Group, which he founded in 1979.  Today, Advance is a leading Northeast U.S. owner and developer of Class A office properties and mixed-use developments due to Peter’s overriding commitment to fulfill Advance’s mission “to be the premier developer of creative real estate solutions.”  With a 5 million square foot portfolio in New Jersey and the Washington DC region, Advance is a fully integrated commercial real estate firm focusing on development, corporate build-to-suit projects, property management, community redevelopment, and construction and asset management. Peter is very active and serves on a number of Boards such as NJ Chamber of Commerce; Italian American Heritage Foundation; Smeal Business School at Penn State University and World Presidents Organization. 

Peter is the recipient of major honors including Developer of the Year, NAIOP – The Forum for Commercial Real Estate, Ernst & Young, Inc. NJ “Entrepreneur of the Year – Real Estate Division”, Outstanding Business People, Large Corporation, Somerset County Chamber of Commerce, Top 20 Companies, New Jersey Business Magazine, Humanitarian Award, National Conference for Community and Justice. In October of 2007, Peter was bestowed with The Pennsylvania State University Alumni Fellow Award. Peter has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Penn State, Senior Certificate in Mortgage Financing from New York University and Harvard University Presidents’ Program. He and his wife Sharon of 27 years, reside in Oldwick, NJ with their three sons.  Peter’s passions include skiing, golf, shooting, travel, wine and spending time with family and friends.
