Anthony Buzzelli, ’71

Tony Buzzelli’s career has been guided by two principals: outstanding service to the Deloitte organization and an unswerving dedication to community service. To Tony, these activities are inseparable.  “Community involvement can enhance leadership skills, promote diversity of thought and build vital relationships by creating shared trust and respect,” he says.

For 36 years, Tony has held key positions at Deloitte. Currently, he is a Vice Chairman, Regional Managing Partner for the Pacific Southwest. He has been the National Managing Partner, U.S. Regions, served on the Executive Committee and has been a member of Deloitte’s Board of Directors and Operating Committee. Prior to his current role, Tony was the Deputy Managing Partner for the US firms. In addition, he was the Regional Managing Partner of the Central Atlantic Region for over five years and the Partner-In-Charge of the Pittsburgh Audit department for eight years.

In conjunction with his Deloitte service, Tony as dedicated himself to supporting the communities in which he works and lives. As part of his efforts in Southern California, Tony serves as Board Member to the following organizations: United Way Los Angeles, LA Police Foundation, World Affairs Council, Town Hall Los Angeles, Chairman of the Southern California Leadership Network and Trustee and Audit Committee Chair of the California Science Center. Tony has also served on the Accounting Advisory Board for the Smeal College and was named Accounting Alumnus of the Year in 2003.  Tony graduated with a degree in Accounting in 1971.
