Troy Cromwell, ’90, is group president – Global Strategic Services, Verizon Business. In this role, Cromwell addresses complex business challenges of global enterprises and governments while driving strategic and professional services revenues through providing strategic value to customers. He is also responsible for Vertical Solutions to drive share across specific markets through delivering highly focused business solutions.

Prior to this assignment, Cromwell led the Government and Education segment for Verizon Business.  He had overall responsibility for $1.5B in profitable revenue growth through the sale of network services, CPE and application solutions.  He lead, directed and managed a 500+ member sales, sales engineering, and applications development team for state, and local government, primary and higher education business customers.

Cromwell has served as an Accenture partner and North American sales lead for public service outsourcing, as well as director of Client Sales for Accenture Learning.  Previously, Cromwell served as president of TeleTech's Government Solutions business which he grew from $13M to $79M and expanded it from two to four continents over three years. In this role, he was responsible for full P&L, process, compliance and BPO.  In 2001, Cromwell was named vice president of XO Communications for the federal government market.  His primary focus was on Homeland Security, DOD, FAA and several other key departments.

Cromwell began his career in 1990 with MCI as regional branch manager, with overall management responsibility for six Mid-Atlantic States and New York for the State Government and University Systems Division.  He also held various sales and marketing positions including a sales management role in the Government Education segment.

He graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in education and business minor, and later received an MBA in finance and marketing from Penn State.
