Come build real relationships and connections in a purposeful, exciting way!
It's free, it's for only an hour and it's fun!
How it Works:
Online networking enables you to speed-network no matter where you are in the world. You can sign in from your home, office, local library, smartphone or tablet. The chats are text-based and timed for 10 minutes, allowing you to make connections, exchange contact information, and end the hour with several new connections you didn't have before. After the chats, add your new contacts to your LinkedIn network or following up via email for future discussion.
Here are some ideas on how to get the conversation started:
What's your favorite memory on campus? (Always the most popular!)
How can I help you? If any of my LinkedIn connections would help, please send me a request through LinkedIn to be introduced.
What do or did you study? What is your expertise or what courses do you teach?
What do you do professionally or what are your career aspirations? What advice or classes can help me in my journey?
What courses can you recommend? Who is or was your favorite professor, one that inspired you?
If you could do one thing differently in your career, what would it be?
What's the best piece of advice you received during your college career or in the professional world?
How many Penn State alumni are in your family?
What is it like to be a staff person at Smeal?
And so on!
