The once autonomous supply chain has evolved into a complex, global entity. Technology has expedited this evolution by enhancing the ability to collaborate, communicate, predict and innovate. Emerging technology will continue to effect change and supply chain transformation with the advancement of such platforms as mobile, social, cloud, 3D printing, etc. Join the Center for Supply Chain Research and our guest Program Director, Irvin Grossman, Vice President of Operations, Chainalytics, on March 18-19, 2014, at the Penn Stater Conference Center, University Park, PA, for the Spring 2014 Supply Chain Leaders Forum: Supply Chains and Emerging Technology for an engaging conversation with academics and industry experts.

Spring 2014 Corporate Sponsor Meeting
CSCR Corporate Sponsors meet with the Center’s leadership team twice a year. These advisory meetings provide opportunities to review and discuss the state of the Center, future event planning, administrative matters, and the planning and debriefing of research programs. These sessions afford meaningful networking opportunities with fellow corporate sponsors, faculty and students. The next sponsor meeting will be April 22 and 23, 2014, at University Park. The meeting will be a half day on April 22nd and a full day on April 23rd. CSCR is celebrating its 25th year in 2014, and we want to include our sponsors' input for the Center's long-term strategic plan. Attendance by a representative of each member company is strongly encouraged.

Innovative Logistics - The Supply Chain Strategy Enabler
Strategic decisions determine the overall direction of a company’s supply chain, and a supply chain strategic plan is only as effective as its execution. Logistics innovation is the key to a successful supply chain strategy and ultimately a company’s business strategy. Industry leaders understand this overarching relationship. The 24th Annual R. Hadly Waters Supply Chain Symposium, Innovative Logistics – The Supply Chain Strategy Enabler, will be held on April 24th, 2014, at The Penn Stater Conference Center, University Park, PA. Join our keynote speaker, Mr. Paul Avampato, the vice president of Customer Service and Logistics in North America for Mondelez International, and industry experts for a practical discussion of their successes and perhaps some of their missteps in achieving supply chain strategy success through innovative logistics processes.
